The Standard is our lightest bell tent. Its 200 GSM poly-cotton canvas breathes like cotton, sheds rain, and dries fast and packs down small, so it's easy to bring to a festival, a campsite or the backyard. One pole, one door frame and a ring of pegs, and you have a round room you can stand up in.

One center pole and one door frame do all the work. There's no puzzle of color-coded rods, so even a first-time camper can pitch it alone. Everything you need comes in one canvas bag.

Which size should I choose?

The 3M (10 ft) sleeps 2 and is the easiest to carry, so it's great for a couple at a festival. The 4M (13 ft) sleeps 4 with room for a double bed and gear, and it's our most versatile size. The 5M (16.5 ft) sleeps 6 or makes a roomy suite for two, with 9.8 ft of headroom at the center.

How long does setup take?

About 15–20 minutes for one person. Peg out the base, stand the center pole up inside, fit the A-frame door pole and tension the guy ropes. Every pole, peg and rope comes in the bag, plus a mallet.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. The 200 GSM poly-cotton canvas has a waterproof, mildew-resistant finish, and the PVC groundsheet zips in to seal the floor. Poly-cotton also dries faster than heavy cotton. Like any canvas tent, let it dry fully before packing it away to avoid mildew.

Can I use a wood stove in it?

The tent has a factory-fitted 5-inch fire-retardant stove jack, but the 200 GSM canvas itself is not fire-retardant. If you plan to use a wood stove regularly, we recommend the Premium Fire Proof bell tent. Always use a stove with a spark arrestor and keep it well clear of the canvas.

What's the difference between the Standard and Premium?

The Standard uses lighter 200 GSM poly-cotton, so it's easier to carry and quicker to dry, which suits festivals and weekend trips. The Premium uses heavier 280 GSM canvas for more insulation and frequent use. The Premium Fire Proof adds 340 GSM fire-retardant canvas for wood stoves and commercial sites.

What's the warranty, and does shipping cost extra?

Every Standard Bell Tent has a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Full-price orders over $600 ship free within the US, and we ship from Santa Ana, California, with local pickup available in Southern California. Need several for an event or campground? Ask about wholesale pricing.
