Most beach tents block the sun and trap the heat. This one lets the air through.

The Beach Cabana swaps solid fabric for a 180g shade net: dense enough to cut the glare, open enough for the sea breeze to pass straight through. It stands on a crossed frame of rust-resistant aluminum poles, with all four sides open and an Oxford groundsheet that wipes clean of sand. Stake it into grass or anchor it in the sand. It all packs into one 9.7 lb duffel you can carry down the beach with one hand.

05 — Setup

One person, no tools. The poles are color-coded and click together, the canopy clips on, and the stakes or sand anchors hold it down. Packing up is the same in reverse, and it all goes back in one duffel.

The steps

1	Lay out the groundsheet where you want the shade
2	Click the color-coded poles together into two long arches
3	Cross the arches, clip on the canopy and tie the poles together at the top
4	Stake the feet into grass, or anchor them in the sand, then run out the guylines

Tip: face an open side into the breeze so the air runs straight through. If the wind really picks up, take the canopy down. Pack-down: shake out the sand, let the canopy dry if it's damp, then roll everything into the duffel.

How many people fit underneath?

The 6.6 × 6.6 ft footprint shades 3–5 adults, or two beach chairs plus a cooler and bags. It's 5.3 ft tall at the peak, so it's made for sitting and lounging rather than standing.

Will it stay put on the sand?

Yes. Anchor the feet in the sand with the sand anchors, or use the stakes on grass and dirt, then run out the guylines. If the wind gets strong, take the canopy down.

Is it cooler than a regular beach tent?

That's the idea. The canopy is a breathable 180g shade net and all four sides are open, so the breeze moves through instead of the heat building up under solid fabric.
