A certified fire-retardant coating makes it the bell tent we recommend for running a wood stove inside. It's built for winter campers, semi-permanent setups, and glamping hosts on Airbnb or Hipcamp who need a tent that works every season.

Peak & roof vents
Four roof vents near the peak let warm, damp air and stove heat circulate out, cutting condensation.

Most canvas tents need a stove jack added and a lot of care. This one is built for a stove from the factory.
A certified FR coating helps the canvas resist ignition and slows the spread of flame.
A pre-installed 5-inch jack with a fire-retardant ring, sized for standard tent-stove pipe.
The dense weave holds heat on frosty nights and keeps the inside quieter in wind and rain.
Stove safety, every time
- Use a tent stove with a spark arrestor on the chimney
- Stand it on a heat-proof mat, not directly on the groundsheet
- Keep the stove and pipe well clear of canvas and bedding
- Keep the roof vents open and use a carbon monoxide alarm
- Never leave a lit stove unattended
- Let the stove and pipe cool fully before packing down
Fire-retardant canvas lowers the risk; it doesn't remove it. Always follow your stove maker's instructions.

Our heaviest canvas, same simple pitch. One center pole and one door frame do all the work, so you can put it up alone, though the 85 lb bag is easier to carry with two. Everything, including a repair kit, comes in one canvas bag.

The steps

Can I use a wood stove inside?
Yes, this is the bell tent we build for it. The canvas has a certified fire-retardant coating, and a 5-inch stove jack with a fire-retardant ring is fitted at the factory. Use a tent stove with a spark arrestor, stand it on a heat-proof mat, keep it clear of the canvas, keep the roof vents open and use a carbon monoxide alarm.
Is the tent actually fireproof?
No fabric is truly fireproof. The canvas has a certified fire-retardant coating, which helps it resist catching fire and slows the spread of flame. It lowers the risk around a stove, but it doesn't replace safe stove use and good ventilation.
How is it different from the Premium?
The Fire Proof uses heavier 340 GSM canvas (the Premium is 280 GSM) and adds a certified fire-retardant coating, a factory-fitted stove jack with an FR ring and a repair kit. It's rated 4-season, where the Premium is a 3-season tent.
What size is it and how many does it sleep?
It comes in 5M (16.5 ft): 212 sq ft of round floor, 9.8 ft at the center and 2 ft walls. It sleeps 6 comfortably, or makes a spacious suite for two with room for a stove. Need a different size for a commercial site? Email us.
Is it suitable for glamping businesses?
Yes. It's designed for commercial glamping (Airbnb, Hipcamp and campground hosts) and long-term setups, and it's the bell tent we recommend wherever guests will use a stove. Check your local permit and fire rules. For several tents, ask about wholesale pricing.
What's the warranty, and does shipping cost extra?
A 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, with a repair kit in the box. Full-price orders over $600 ship free within the US from Santa Ana, California, and local pickup is available in Southern California.
