The Festival Camping Checklist (Done Properly)

The best festival story is not the lineup. It is the tent you came home to. Here is the checklist we would use.

1. Pick your spot early

Arrive with daylight left. Look for level ground, away from walkways, speakers and low spots that flood.

2. Size the tent for the crew

Go one size bigger than you think. Gear, bags and a place to change all take room. See our Standard Bell Tent for an easy festival pitch, or the modular Halo Bell Tent.

3. Build the sleep setup

4. Light and shade

  • A camping lantern for the night
  • A Beach Cabana for midday shade

5. Basics that matter

  • Compressed towels and hygiene supplies
  • A wagon to haul gear in one trip
  • A folding table and chairs for camp life

6. Plan the pack-down

Dry the tent, take every stake and leave the spot cleaner than you found it.
